We meet and explore several highland Sherpa and Tamang villages spread on both sides of Melamchi Khola.
We begin Helambu Circuit Trekking with our short drive to Sundarijal, which is also an entrance for Shivapuri National Park. From Sundarijal, we pass through the pristine forests exploring the rich wildlife. We finally reach the Shivapuri Hilltop where you would find the wonderful views of the entire Kathmandu valley. We reach at Chisapani on the top and is a beautiful place offering you the wonderful sunrise with the spectacular views of Ganesh Himal. As the journey advances, you visit the homes of Brahmins, and ethnic Tamang and Sherpa people. We pass through the villages of Kutumsang, Tharepati, Tarkegyang, Sermathang, and Melamchigaon enjoying the pleasant climate of Helambu region. You will find the Helambu Sherpa cultures relatively different from that of Solukhumbu Sherpas. Helambu area displays the rural country life of Nepal and the diverse natural landscape. This trek is obviously an exciting trip so take your time and disappear into the beauty of Himalayas.
