Gokyo Renjo La Pass trekking is suitable for those trekkers who do not want to trek through the very popular and commercial trekking trials to the Everest Base Camp (5,545 m). the trial is full of natural and cultural experiences waiting for you to immerse in away from the crowd of trekkers to give a unique trekking experience. The Gokyo Valley trek through Thame valley and Renjo-La pass will grant you a splendid view of eastern mountains soaring through the sky, emerald lakes and glaciers. While crossing the Renjo La pass (5,345 m) and all along the trail will have stunning view of Mt. Everest and other majestic peaks above 8,000 m like Mt. Makalu (8,485 m), Mt. Manaslu (8,163 m), and Mt. Kanchenjunga (8,586 m), Mt. Cho Oyu (8,188 m) among others. We will also be able to cross captivating passes and walk over massive glaciers such as Ngozumpa glacier, the biggest in the region.
The mystic Gokyo valley is famed for its beautiful 5 lakes. The emerald lakes are guarded by massive mountains in all direction and their reflections in the pristine lakes are a sight you need to see to believe. Another main highlight of the trek is the Gokyo Ri Peak at (5,357 m). This is the best and the iconic viewpoint for Mt. Everest from where we can be able to rejoice 360-degree panoramic view of the Everest, Lhotse, Makalu, Cho Oyu, Nuptse, Pumori, Lingtren, Chola Peak, Machherma Peak, Ama Dablam, Thamserku, Kusum Kangaru and other peaks that dominate the eastern skyline of the Himalayan country. The journey will begin after we board 30 minutes flight to Lukla. Lukla airport is also often known as the most dangerous airports in the world. From there we will hike all the way through Namche, Dole, Gokyo, Gokyo Ri, Renjo-La Pass, Lungden, and Thame Village. The tallest elevation points of the trip are Gokyo Ri (5357 m) and Renjo-La Pass (5345 m) from the sea level. Because of the high extent of variation in elevation, you’ll be able to see various types of lustrous vegetation. We can also see the endangered and rare species such as Musk Deer, Wild mountain goat, Lophophorus, Snow leopard, Pheasants, Mountain Hawk, and snow duck.
